This is a Disney crossover fanfic that probably won't see a lot of action for a bit, but I wanted to post it anyway. Enjoy!

Ch 1
Ophira was the kingdom of legends beautiful beyond words, wealthy beyond measure. From its glorious capital city of Shinar, its great king, Cassim, along with his beautiful queen, Esmeralda, ruled from a magnificent castle. It was morning now, and the sun was just starting to rise, sending warm, shining rays streaming through the windows. In his bedroom, the handsome eighteen-year old prince and heir to the throne, Aladdin, enjoyed his last few moments of sleep. Suddenly, his bed shook hard. Aladdin's eyes snapped open looked straight into the eyes of a full-grown lioness, but not just any lioness. Her name was Nala, and she was the royal family's pet, visibly designated by the fine leather collar with a golden medallion bearing the royal emblem hanging from it around it. Nala, who always slept in the prince's chamber at Aladdin's bedside, licked her owner's face. Aladdin smiled.
"Good morning, Nala. It's good to see you too," he said, petting her on the head.
Nala enjoyed the affection just before moving off her owner, moving into a sitting position, still on the bed, by her owner's side. Just then, the door opened and Esmeralda walked in, already dressed in a fine dress of exquisite red and purple fabric. She smiled at her son as he pushed the covers off of himself and grabbed a robe hanging on a chair near his bed. He put it on as he acknowledged his mother.
"Good morning," he said.
Esmeralda moved closer to her son.
"Good morning, Ali," she said, using the nickname she had used for Aladdin since he was a child.
From her position, the raven-haired, green-eyed queen could see a decent amount of stubble on Aladdin's face, just enough to be visible, that would soon grow into a fine beard, just like his father's. Smiling slightly, she got down to business.
"Do you remember what today is?" she asked.
Aladdin sighed.
"Sort of..." he admitted.
Esmeralda gave her son a look.
"Jasmine is returning to Shinar to become your bride. Do you remember the last time you two saw each other?" she asked.
Aladdin did. Ophira's system of ruling had the king and queen at the head in the capital, and a powerful governor, referred to as a satrap, ruling the many provinces. The satraps were quite powerful considered royalty in their own right, and, as such, their children were addressed as "prince" or "princess". However, they still answered to the king and queen in Shinar, and it could be revoked if the satrap was proven to have committed a wrongdoing or oppressed their citizens. Jasmine's father, Hamed, was the satrap of the province of Agrabah. At a royal banquet four years ago, where Aladdin met and befriended Jasmine, talk of one day having them marry had begun. Aladdin knew some things about her, such as the fact that they shared the same exact birthday and were the same age, but wanted to know more and see her again. He smiled at the thought of her.
"She was pretty before. She must be gorgeous by now," he said, trying to envision her.
His mother nodded.
"Get bathed and dressed, and then come down for breakfast," she said before leaving, taking Nala with her.
Aladdin went to his bathing chamber, washed, got dressed in his royal robes, and then joined his parents for a breakfast of bread, honey and cheese. Nala ate nearby, eating a slab of raw beef with some of the bones still in it off a large golden platter. Elsewhere in the palace, trouble was brewing. Soon, the palace would come under attack. However, the time was not yet. Outside the city, a royal caravan came ever closer.
"Sire, we are almost there," a guard said.
The ruler inside the carriage nodded in approval.
"Very good. Inform me when we get there," he said.
The guard bowed his head.
"As you say," he said.
Meanwhile, the rest of Shinar got on with its day.
