Ramman Town was in an uproar about the championship that was going to be happening in just a few hours. Anyone could enter and there were many fighters even from the castle that had come to watch and take part in the tournament. A line of tables were along the streets taking in any and all those that were ready to fight. Lyca had actually been waiting for this day, though everyone could take part in the fight, there were rarely ever women who entered and they usually didn't last long. She had watched the tournament for two years and had heard that there were some men who didn't think women should fight at all.
One of these so called men happened to be the one that Lyca was waiting to see so that she could enter the tournament. Once she got up to the table, the man instantly looked behind her. A man was standing behind the young elite warrior.
"Sir you may step forward." The man said.
The man looked at the woman in front of him. He pushed past her and stood at the desk. Lyca had been doing good all day with not calling on her element like she usually did. Lyca gritted her teeth teeth and moved back to the front of the line. The man at the desk looked at Lyca.
"I don't deal with women." The man said.
Lyca called upon her element and the familiar burning sensation of her body heating up was far more soothing then not using her element. The man had looked away but now when he looked at her, his saw her eyes glow red. The man was about to say something when Lyca grabbed the man by the collar of his tunic and dragged him over the table. The man grabbed Lyca's wrists but instantly let go, steam was coming off Lyca but she was strangely completely calm and had barely used any of her element at this moment.
"You are an arrogant sexist man who I have half a mind to hurt but you're lucky I have more control over myself than most, because I'm not at all angry right now, but you will put my name down and do the same for any woman who comes to you today to join the tournament. If you don't I'll report you to the king." Lyca said sparks of fire appearing around her.
The man looked at the sparks and then the line of people that had been behind the woman, he saw that even the toughest looking man had backed up a great deal and had fear in his eyes. The man looked back attention he woman who held him by the collar, there was about this woman that made everyone fear her.
"What's your name lady?" The man asked.
Lyca let the man go who fell back into his chair. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at the man.
"My name is Lyca." she said with a deadpan expression on her beautiful face.
The man stared at her, he had heard that man. The man wrote down her name and Lyca left without another word. A man from the line came up the table and looked at the man at the table.
"You have a death wish. Didn't you know who that was?" The new man asked the tournament representative.
"I've heard the name and I know her father, never thought I'd see her. She's nothing like the kid I knew, I've heard the rumors to. I'll never make the mistake of doing what I did again." The tournament rep. said shaking a little bit.
The man planned to tell Lyca's father that he had seen her and that she was going to take part in the tournament. He had a feeling that Ron would either want to join or he would want to watch, either way the man would want to know that his only living daughter was alive and apparently doing well. The man watched as Lyca walked away, sparks of fire continued to circle her and the citizens of the town moved out of her way. This year's tournament was going to be interesting for sure.
