Booming voices, cheers and the sound of glasses clanging together in toast could be heard almost be heard a mile away. The night air was crisp with a small hint of rain that would rarely ever fall in this savage land. Clad in black and walking down the street toward the tavern, the many drunken men and women were either laying about the street or trying to walk home. It wasn't an unusual sight to see for the citizens of Barak City.
It had been many days since she had begun her journey. Stopping just outside the tavern for a moment. The sounds of happiness and a few arguments filled her ears. She had decided not to bandage her eyes this day, not many people knew who she was in this city and she was grateful for it. Her ebony hair blew gently in the wind. A drunken pair of men came stumbling out of the tavern, they hadn't noticed her and just as they started to walk toward her, did one of them look at her.
The man looked at her closely, as if trying to see through her clothes, a grin spread over his mouth. Lyca had seen that look before, though it was never been directed at her. She got an uneasy feeling about the man and as if on instinct sparks of fire started to appear around her. The man's attention went to the sparks that flashed around.
"Pr...pretty lights...." the man said after a few tries.
The man's friend did his best to drag the man away, but he didn't want to leave. The man seemed to be glued to the spot watching the sparks that Lyca made. She wasn't quiet sure what she should do now, though she hadn't really planned on standing outside the tavern either.
